When it comes to designing doorless walk in showers, there are lots of creative options you can choose from. Unlike a completely enclosed shower cubicle, a no-door shower allows you to have a private yet open space to take a shower. What matters is how comfortable you are with the design of this enclosure. The space can then be as jazzy or as simple as you want it to be. Here are some ideas you can use as inspiration to come up with some exclusive shower designs with no door.
~ The entrance to your doorless shower must have a lip (at least 3-4 inches in height) to prevent the water from spilling out into what is called the dry area (the area with the wash basin and the WC). If the shower is to be used by a disabled person, then this detail can be eliminated simply by creating a slope in the flooring towards the drain, or a tile drop, so as to prevent the water from flowing outside.
If you own a plastic liner, it is the easiest thing to clean. Four simple steps. Put it in the washing machine, put some detergent, put it on a slow cycle and once done, hang it back up again. Yes, it really is that simple. If you are however using a fabric one, you would like to use vinegar or bleach. There is one thing you must keep in mind. Ask the shopkeeper how it needs to be washed before buying it. Some fabrics react differently to different ingredients. You don't want to buy another one so soon.
Attach the shower head and operating valves. Operating valves will have to be connected to the water lines - both hot and cold. These valves contain knobs which will have to be set in sync with the hot and cold water openings.
